More Ways Available To Support Wolf Point Food Pantry
Officials of the Wolf Point Food Pantry want the public to know of two opportunities where people can support the pantry.
Gary Johnson, manager of the food pantry, said people can donate to the food pantry while checking out at both the Town Pump and Albertson’s in Wolf Point.
Donating at these two locations results in funds going straight to the Wolf Point Food Pantry.
The food pantry has spent $56,810.44 on food so far this year. One more food order of about $1,000 will take place this calendar year The pantry has served 2,593 families representing 9,073 individuals and 63,543 pounds of food. People from Wolf Point, Fort Kipp, Brockton, Poplar and Frazer are being served.
Among the organizations making financial contributions have been Fort Peck Tribes, Wolf Point Elks Foundation, Ora Y Plata Foundation, Wolf Point Lions Club, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wolf Point Ministerial Association and Town Pump Foundation. Food donations have come from Albertson’s, Cenex West C Store, Wolf Point Honor Society and Poplar Elementary School students. The Wolf Point beautification committee repainted the front of the building.
