Garry Robinson

Garry Allen Robinson, 75, of Wolf Point died Oct. 23, 2023.

Born on July 9, 1948, in Poplar, he was a man of resilience, dedication and warmth. His early years were filled with a love for the great outdoors and a deep sense of community.

His commitment to serving others was evident early on. He served his country in the United States Army, where he displayed extraordinary courage and dedication, earning several commendations for his service. His experiences in the military shaped much of his life, instilling in him values of discipline, respect and a strong sense of duty.

After his honorable discharge, he continued his journey of service by joining the Bureau of Indian Affairs Road Department. His work for the road department was not just a job but a passion. He dedicated countless hours to ensuring the safety and well-being of those he served, often going above and beyond the call of duty. His colleagues remember him as a man who led by example, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand.

He was a pillar in his community and respected by all who knew him. Family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, doting grandfather and great-grandfather, sharing his love for nature and history. His stories, often filled with humor and wisdom, will be missed at family gatherings.

He is survived by wife, Artis “Chic” Robinson; daughter, Phoebe; sons, Chance and Garrick; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phoebe Robinson and Allen Smoker; and son, Andrew “Gator” Robinson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
