Assembly Honors Summers’ Accomplishments
A special assembly took place at Wolf Point High School on Wednesday, Oct. 25, when senior Peyton Summers was saluted for bringing home the state cross country championship.
Both head coach Stacey Summers and assistant coach Cole Baker praised the athlete’s dedication to become a state champion.
A Power Point presentation, produced by senior Kylie Rodenberg, excited the students as many of them started to use their cell phone lights to show their appreciation to Summers.
The production included photos and videos of Summers’ athletic career including a video of him crossing the finish line at the state meet held in Kalispell.
Fort Peck tribal executive board member Patricia Iron Cloud presented Summers with a star quilt to recognize how well he represented the Fort Peck Reservation.
The assembly ended with an honor song.
