Cody J. Baum

Cody J. Baum, 30, of Poplar, formerly of Muskegon, Mich., died Oct. 1, 2023.

Cody’s beautiful brown eyes and infectious smile could light up even the darkest of rooms. Cody left this world unexpectedly and far too soon. In his final message, he asked that I remind each and every one of you how much he loved you and how grateful and blessed he felt to have you in his life.

Cody is survived by parents, Amysue (Jeffrey) Hunter of Poplar, Mont., and Kevin (Angela) Baum of Shelby, Mich.; brother, Curtis Baum of Shelby, Mich.; grandparents, Sharon (Ron) Groteler of Muskegon, Mich., Dennis (Karen) Winters of Scottville, Mich., Kenneth and Jeanne Baum of Muskegon, Mich., Jim Luttrell of Baldwin, Mich.; uncles and aunts, Kenneth and Juliann Baum of Mears, Mich., Adam Winters of Muskegon, Mich., Kyle Luttrell of Pennsylvania; Kayla Luttrell of Pennsylvania; niece and nephew, Zailyn Ann and Bentley Jorden both of Muskegon, Mich.; cousins; several extended and step family; and many, many friends in Montana and Michigan.

Codderz, you were my partner in adventure and mischief. My best friend and Mama’s boy. I have loved you from your first heartbeat and will love you until my last. Until we meet again, my Cody. Love, Mama.

A celebration of life will take place at the Bum Steer in Flaxville on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m.
