Beulah Siljenberg

Beulah Louise Siljenberg, 85, died Sept. 29, 2023.

She was born Nov. 29, 1937, to Mitchell and Amy (Paulson) Granbois, the first born of this union. She was later joined by brothers Larry (Buskie) and Gene Granbois. Later in Mitchell’s second union to Leona (LeMay), Doug, Gary, Dennis, Darrell and Doreen joined the family.

She attended schools in Pierre, S.D., and Poplar Schools, where she was active in cheerleading.

She married Larry Siljenberg on June 16, 1956, at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow. The couple made their home at Buzzard’s Glory.

Upon entering the U.S. Army, Larry was joined by Beulah living off base at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Leonardwood, Mo. Upon discharge, the couple returned to the farm 37 miles north of Wolf Point in the Benrud community, where they welcomed their son, Kelly.

The family moved to Saco where she was employed at many jobs, including Sleeping Buffalo and O’Brien’s Café, then was a housewife and mother. Upon returning to Wolf Point, she was employed with Nancy’s Housekeeping at IHS Clinic in Poplar.

Throughout her retirement years, she enjoyed gardening, canning, jigsaw puzzles, rodeos and western movies and Molly B’s Polka Party and old country and bluegrass music. Most of all, she enjoyed her many pets.

She is survived by her husband, Larry of Wolf Point; son, Kelly of Wolf Point; sister, Doreen; brother, Doug; three grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point.
