Businesses Asked To Take Part In Homecoming

Wolf Point School officials are hoping the entire community gets fired up for homecoming week on Sept. 25-30.

High school homecoming advisor Karli McGowan has sent a letter out to businesses encouraging them to take part in the parade that starts at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. The community is asked to entry floats for the parade.

“We hope to have more community support and involvement in homecoming: either though signs supporting our teams, floats in the parade or attendance at games,” McGowan said.

The community is encouraged to attend a pep rally that begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in the high school gym.

Wolf Point’s volleyball team will host Scobey on Thursday, Sept. 28, with action beginning at 4:30 p.m. A bonfire is planned after the varsity volleyball match.

The Wolves will take on Roundup for the homecoming football game starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.

There will be a homecoming dance after the football game.

The cross country team will compete in Fort Peck on Saturday, Sept. 30.

In addition, there will be junior high and JV football games against Scobey on Monday and a high school C volleyball match against Frazer on Tuesday.

Dress-up days for homecoming and Native American Week include Costume Day or Native Bling on Monday, Barbie and Ken Day or Braids on Tuesday, duct tape day or rock your moccs on Wednesday and maroon and white or ribbons and regalia on Friday.
