Ferguson Wins Honors At Havre Rodeo
Wolf Point’s Kelsey Ferguson earned top honors in breakaway roping during the Great Northern Ram Rodeo held in Havre on July 20-21.
Ferguson finished first with a time of 2.5. Helena’s Mikayla Witter placed second at 2.7, Great Falls’ Stephanie Rollins took third at 2.8, Helena’s Haven Wolstein placed fourth at 3.3 and Richland’s Stacy Harris took fifth at 3.5.
Glendive’s Ben Ayre captured first place in tie down roping with a time of 9.3 seconds. Dillon’s Kevin Peterson placed second at 10.8 seconds.
Other winners at the rodeo included Chinook’s Rowdy Cranston in bareback riding, Joliet’s Parker Mothershead in saddle bronc riding, Townsend’s Tanner Theriault in bull riding, Geraldine’s Riley Joyce in steer wrestling, Box Elder’s Clay Duran and Kadyn Duran in team roping, Fromberg’s Lindsay Kruse in barrel racing and Whitefish’s Sophia Neill in junior barrels.
