Teen Dies From Injuries In Vehicle Accident

A 15-year-old Poplar female died from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle incident on Sunday, July 9.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on a two-track dirt road south of Poplar. The highway patrol was called at about 11:30 a.m.

The victim, who was an occupant in the bed of the vehicle, fell out. She was transported to the Poplar hospital and pronounced dead by officials.

Including the driver, there were five occupants inside the pickup. None of them received injuries. Charges are pending. Conducting the investigation are the Montana Highway Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Fort Peck Tribes Criminal Investigators.
