Chamber Officials Pleased With Stampede’s 100th Celebration

Members of the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors expressed how pleased they were with the 100th Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede during a meeting on Tuesday, July 11.

“Overall, it was a crazy great week,” board member Aaron Kurokawa said.

A message from president Jerald Petersen thanked the Stampede committee, the Stampede’s activities committee and chamber officials. He noted the Stampede celebration was a great showcase of Wolf Point.

During committee reports, officials said the beautification committee did an outstanding job. “A lot of comments were made about how nice the town looked,” Kurokawa said.

The stadium committee will look into repair plumbing issues for the long term.

Stampede posters and programs are still available for purchase at the chamber’s office.

The newest chamber member is McDonald’s.

Art in the Park attracted 27 vendors this year.

AJ Allen, president of the Optimist Club of Wolf Point, informed the chamber of upcoming events being organized by the club. The Optimists are planning a yard sale and ice cream social at the museum on Aug. 19. They will sell traveling tacos in a bag again on Sept. 16.

Allen said that Larry Neutgens will start his term as the Optimist club’s new president in October.
