Governor Visits Roosevelt Medical Center

Gov. Greg Gianforte visited Culbertson’s Roosevelt Medical Center June 27. In early June, Gianforte launched his third annual 56 County Tour. In Culbertson, he spoke with residents at the medical center, volunteers and staff at the facility and was treated to a meet and greet with area 4-H standouts with their animals.

“The residents of Roosevelt Memorial Nursing Home and I agree,” Gianforte said via a press release “These 4-H’ers are ready for the fair in August.”

Serving nearly 25,000 Montana kids in all 56 counties each year, Montana 4-H is the largest out-ofschool youth development program in the state. In December, the governor donated a quarter of his salary to the Montana 4-H Foundation. In his Budget for Montana Families, Gianforte prioritized “funding to long-term care and assisted living facilities,” proposing and securing the largest-ever Medicaid provider reimbursement rate increase to support facilities like RMC.

Roosevelt County Commissioner Gordon Oelker and Culbertson’s interim mayor Todd Gabriel were on hand, along with hospital staff and members of the governor’s press team.

Following the stop, the governor’s team head further north for a stop in Plentywood.

“The best part of Montana is Montanans,” Gianforte said. “Together, we’ll continue to build a stronger future for our state for Montanans from Culbertson to Corvallis.”
