Paint The State Art Contest Calls For Submissions

Roosevelt County residents are eligible to win cash prizes in Montana Meth Project’s Paint the State art contest. The contest is set to award 45 total prizes at regional and statewide levels. There will be three $10,000 grand prizes to be awarded to teen, adult and popular vote winners. One winner could win up to $20,000.

A $508,000 grant from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation expanded this major drug prevention initiative.

Register at paintthestate. org. The competition is open to all Montanans 13 and older. Entries may be submitted through May 31.

Paint the State was launched earlier this year as a much-needed on-the-ground drug prevention initiative. The contest invites everyone 13 years of age and older to create monument-sized original public works of art that inspire vibrant and drug-free lives.

The designs are encouraged to incorporate the Meth Project’s “Not Even Once” message. Roosevelt County teen participants will compete in the Missouri River Country division. Registration is currently open in teen and adult divisions at Paint-TheState.org.

More information about the contest guidelines, prizes and registration is available at PaintTheState.org. Businesses and landowners interested in offering public locations for art installations or donating supplies can email info@montanameth.org.
