Froid High School senior Elise Logan has been busy achieving honors in many activities during her time at the school.

She recently returned from the BPA National Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. At the state level, Logan excelled in several BPA categories including health administration procedures and integrated office applications.

“I liked socializing with people that I wouldn’t know if I wasn’t in BPA,” Logan explained.

This spring, she competes in the discus and the shot put for Froid/ Lake’s track team.

“I like throwing the objects and competing,” Logan said. “I like that it’s an individual sport.”

During football season, she served as one of the team’s managers during the Red Hawks’ deep playoff run.

“I liked hearing all the weird things the boys say,” Logan laughed. “I liked watching them improve during practices.”

Another successful activity for Logan was FFA where she earned honors with the parliamentary procedure team. A pleasant surprise came this spring when she was crowned Froid’s prom queen. She said she was honored by her selection.

She has attended Froid since transferring from Bainville in the eighth grade.

“Everybody is really close and everybody in the community helps out,” Logan said of what impresses her about Froid.

After high school, Logan plans to attend Williston State College for general studies classes.

She is unsure of her exact career plans. “I want to do something to help people,” she said.
