Clean Sweep Days Begin Monday In Wolf Point

It’s that time of year again when residents make a commitment to beautify our area.
The annual Wolf Point Clean Sweep Days will begin the week of Monday, May 15.
With the 100th Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede on tap for this summer, officials hope to do a great job of cleaning and maintaining the city for the next several months.
The Wolf Point landfill will accept Clean Sweep trash at no charge during that time. The landfill will also be open on Sunday, May 21, from noon to 5 p.m. Bring your landfill card if you have one.
Appliances requiring Freon removal will be charged a removal fee. Contractor/construction waste will be charged regular rates.
Bagged trash and yard waste can be left curbside (not in alleys) for city pickup from May 15-19. Keep yard waste separate from metal items and bag your leaves.
Help city crews with this extra workload by taking your trash to landfill on open days, if possible.
The annual Wolf Point Clean Sweep is held every spring to rid the community of the trash and clutter accumulated over the cold winter months in an effort to beautify Wolf Point.
Community members and organizations gather in groups during the annual Clean Sweep to help make the community a better place to live by picking up trash and other debris.
Committee member Barb Olson said that the committee is an all-volunteer organization with the goal of keeping Wolf Point clean and inviting for residents and visitors. The Beautification Committee volunteers rely on ongoing help from individuals, organizations and businesses to achieve that goal. With all-volunteer help, committee members routinely clean litter and weeds, and plant and maintain flowers pots along U.S. Highway 2.
