Klane William Atkinson was sentenced during a hearing in district court on Tuesday, April 25.

Facing drug possession charges, Atkinson received a three-year deferred sentence for each of three counts. He was also fined $1,000 for each count. The sentences are to run concurrently.

The plea agreement was a joint recommendation from the defendant and the state.

“The upside is you have the chance to take it off your record for most purposes,” District Judge David Cybulski said of having imposition of a sentence deferred.

She faces maximum penalties of a $50,000 fine, 10 years in jail or both for each of the criminal endangerment charges.
