Salary Schedule For Principals Approved
The Wolf Point School board approved a new salary schedule for principals during a special meeting in the district office on Thursday, March 16.
The plan calls for the high school principal and Southside principal to be on the same salary schedule. The amounts for the school years 2023-2025 include $78,540 for year one of experience, $80,111 for year two, $81,713 for year three, $83,347 for year four, $85,014 for year five, $86,715 for year six, $88,449 for year seven, $89,333 for year eight, $90,227 for year nine. $91,129 for year 10, $92,040 for year 11, $92,961 for year 12, $93,890 for year 13, $94,829 for year 14 and $95,777 for year 15.
Superintendent Eileen Karge explained that she had discussions with former superintendent Loverty Erickson regarding the high school principal and Southside principal being on the same pay scale.
Karge said the Southside principal has more students than other principals. The Southside principal is also in charge of the preschool program.
The Northside and junior high principals are on the same salary schedule. Karge noted Northside has fewer students and the junior high has only two grades.
Salaries for those two principals starting in 2023 will be $65,261 for year one of experience, $66,566 for year two, $67,897 for year three, $69,255 for year four, $70,640 for year five, $72,043 for year six, $73,494 for year seven, $74,299 for year eight, $74,971 for year nine, $75,721 for year 10, $76,478 for year 11, $77,243 for year 12, $78,015 for year 13, $78,796 for year 14 and $79,584 for year 15.
Trustees approved the proposal on a 5-0 vote.
