Catholics Do Good Through Burgers, Rummage Sales

For over 75 years, one of the greatest and certainly the tastiest attractions requiring countless volunteer hours at the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede has been the hamburgers served from the stand by the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish of Wolf Point.

The four-hour shifts manning the hamburger stand are covered by numerous community volunteers that help with the cause.

For many years, the stand was open around the clock during Stampede. She said some farmers would come in for a hamburger before hitting the fields.

The current permanent stand was purchased in January 2019. The new facility has been a great success when used for Stampede and during several one-day sales.

Another project led by volunteers at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish is the ICC Rummage Sale.

Held several times a month throughout the year, the rummage sale is stocked with donations from the community and provides a fundraising opportunity which allows the group to donate to several projects.

In 2022, the group donated to the Optimist Club’s Angel Tree Project, the Wolf Point 100 Club, the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department and Wolf Point Area Museum and provided several youth scholarships.
