Bainville Girls Defeat Richey/Lambert

Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad got off to a strong start and earned a 63-48 win over Richey/Lambert on Friday, Feb. 3.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-12 lead in the first quarter. Elsie Wilson had eight points including a three-pointer in the period.

Bainville held a 28-19 halftime advantage. Wilson added eight points in the quarter.

The Bulldogs tallied 17 points in the third quarter and led 45-35 at the end of the period. Hailey Berwick had 10 points including two three-pointers in the quarter.

Bainville struck for 18 points in the fourth period. Brecklyn Pippenger had six points in the quarter.

Top scorers for the Bulldogs were Wilson with 22 and Berwick with 16 points.

Rounding out the scoring were B. Pippenger with seven, Miah Pippenger with six, Kendra Romo with six, Lila Butikofer with four and Tally Berwick with two points.

Shaelyn Williams accounted for 18 of the Fusion’s points. Lauren Prevost scored nine, Kiera Rains had eight and Jolee Klempel added eight points.
