Commissioners Approve Plat For Subdivision
Roosevelt County commissioners approved the preliminary plat of the Owens III minor subdivision during their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
The two-lot subdivision is located about four miles east of Bainville.
Commissioner Gary Macdonald made the motion to approve the preliminary plat.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Robert Toavs and unanimously approved.
The project proposes to subdivide approximately 76 acres into two lots. Lot one will have 25.02 acres and lot two will have 50.54 acres. Lot one is to be sold.
The subdivision will be accessed by Highway 2 so the subdivision will have no effect on county roads and will add a small amount of traffic to Highway 2.
Commissioners approved the reappointment of Scott Savelkoul to the Roosevelt County fair board for a three-year term.
During the previous county meeting, commissioners approved a mileage rate of 62.5 cents per mile for the first 1,000 miles and 59.5 cents per mile over 1,000 miles. Shortly after the meeting, the county received notification from the state that the rates have increased to 65.5 cents per mile for the first 1,000 miles and 62.5 cents per mile over 1,000 miles. Commissioners approved the correction at the Jan. 10 meeting.
Commissioners approved claims in the amount of $171,322.43.
