Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers earned top honors during the cross country meet in Harlem on Friday, Oct. 14.

Summers, a junior, posted a time of 15:48.8 for first place.

Behind Summers were Glasgow’s Reed Larson in second at 16:03.3 and Glasgow’s Kyler Holinde in third at 17:13.2.

Wolf Point’s Kelby Bauer finished in fifth place with a time of 17:53.1.

Rebel Mays took 11th place at 18:36.0. Trent Hamilton placed 35th at 22:20.7.

Heading into this weekend’s Class B state meet, Summers ranks first in the state with a best of 15:43.0, according to athletic.net. Andrew Rush of St. Ignatius ranks second at 15:55.9. Glasgow’s Larson is third at 16:30.6, Robbie Nulia of St. Ignatius is fourth at 16:34.1 and Kyler Harris of Florence-Carlson sits fifth at 16:52.0.

Wolf Point’s Mays ranks 44th and Wolf Point’s Bauer ranks 45th.

Leading Frazer’s boys at the Harlem meet was freshman Cassius Smoker with a time of 26:22.1 for 45th place. Ty Fourstar finished in 46th place at 26:33.3.

Frazer’s Christopher Fox took 49th at 31:05.9. Joseph Beston was 50th at 31:15.7.

The top boys’ teams were Glasgow with 18 points, Plenty Coups with 40 and Harlem with 81 points.

Glasgow topped the standings in the girls’ division with 21 points followed by Shelby with 50 and Chinook with 62 points. Glasgow’s Tanae Baker finished first with a time of 18:28.4.

Alyssa Toce Blount led Frazer’s girls with a time of 25:18.5 for 21st place.

Frazer’s Angel Nelligan took 24th at 25:50.0. Kalianna Toce Blount earned 32nd at 29:23.1.
