NEMHS Hires Post As New CEO

The board of the Northeast Montana Health Services has announced that a selection of a new chief executive officer has been completed.

Michael Post is anticipated to begin working at NEMHS sometime in December. Peg Norgaard will serve as CEO until December.

Steve Hackley, board president, said that the search firm received more than 200 applications for the CEO position. The selection committee narrowed the field down to three candidates who came on-site for interviews and meetings.

“He just seemed to fit our community the best,” Hackley said of Post.

Hackley thanked community members for showing the dedication to serve on the selection committee.

“I think everybody is pretty excited about continuing on with the services we have and hopefully also improving some things,” Hackley said.

Hackley added, “Michael is excited for this opportunity to continue our history of providing the best quality care for our community, while helping to grow and improve NEMHS as we transition out of the pandemic.”
