Boysun Leads In Music, FFA For Wolves
Wolf Point High School senior Aaron Boysun says there are many things to like about the school including the delights of playing in the swing band.
He has been performing on percussion instruments since the fifth grade. “It’s been a long while,” Boysun said. “I just have a fun time experimenting with the music. I guess it’s my way of goofing around.”
Boysun said his favorite class is swing band.
“Some like to play sports or video games, I like to play drums in my spare time,” he noted.
He also makes serves an important role in the school’s FFA program. He has been involved in FFA for four years and is the current vice president for the chapter.
“It helps show leadership and builds your confidence,” Boysun said of FFA. “It helps you learn to work with other people.”
Boysun is looking forward to attending John Deere Days in Bozeman during November.
“FFA opens many different doors and pathways,” Boysun said.
His favorite competition is ag mechanics. He placed second for JVs in ag mechanics at the district meet in Richey last year.
He plans to attend MSU Northern in Havre and study diesel and automotive mechanics.
After starting his education in Havre, Boysun went to Frontier School for third through eighth grade and then to Wolf Point High School.
“I have a lot of pretty good teachers,” Boysun said of Wolf Point High School. He noted that Russell Johnson has been a teacher for him since the fifth grade.
Boysun is glad that he’s a student in Wolf Point and a member of the National Honor Society.
“There’s a lot of people I enjoy being around especially when you find the right group that fits you,” he said.
