The Bainville Town Council held a special meeting Monday, Aug, 29. Mayor Toby Romo and council members Will Rathbun, Nick Tester and Carol Rasmussen were in attendance.

A hearing was held for a resolution providing an amendment of the Fiscal Year 2021- 2022 budget to acknowledge amending expenditures exceeding the original appropriations. It was approved.

A management’s discussion and analysis report was discussed with the council. Chet McLean recommended having one as the last report was completed in 2016.

Budget planning discussions included review of the preliminary budget and the Black Mountain expenditure, revenue and cash reports.

Stop signs were approved for Flynn Avenue and 1st Street and Rhea Avenue and Tubman Streeet at a cost of approximately $350 per intersection. Ron Butikofer attended the meeting and spoke against the signs, which were approved.

A building permit was approved for Toby Romo to build a wood shop at 418 7th Avenue East.

The next regular meeting of the Bainville Town Council is set for Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in the town office.
