August 8

Fire Blotter Aug. 1: The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Main Street at 10:25 p.m. for smoking wires. Two trucks with four firefighters responded.

Two firefighters in one truck responded to a grass fire at the Honda Hills at 4:07 a.m. Pallets had been lit on fire.

Aug. 4: Two trucks with five firefighters responded to a grass fire on Forsness Road west of Wolf Point at 3:57 p.m. One acre burned.

Aug. 5: Firefighters responded to the Forsness Road fire at 4:31 p.m. for a rekindle.

WPVFD responded to the 500 block of Main Street at 10:25 p.m. for smoking wires. Two trucks with four firefighters responded.

Aug. 7: A grass fire was reported at 10:11 p.m. near the Sharp residence on BIA Route 1 west of Wolf Point. Two trucks with three firefighters extinguished the fire and another three crew members were on standby at the hall.

Aug. 9: A total of 417 acres burned on the Jon Kliewer farm north of Wolf Point. At 1:43 p.m., four WPVFD trucks with six crew members responded and were assisted by crews from Valley County Long Run, Poplar Fire Department and BIA Fire.

Aug. 11: A grass fire and a camper on fire were reported at 1:41 a.m. on Jackson Street. Three trucks with four firefighters responded. A total of .7 acres burned.

Aug. 14: Twelve acres were burned in a grass fire that was reported north of Wolf Point. Five trucks with seven firefighters responded. BIA Fire assisted. Four firefighters were on standby at the hall.
