Directors Sought For Humanities Montana Board

Humanities Montana is currently welcoming applications for the Humanities Montana board of directors. A press release from the organization states, “Because we are a statewide nonprofit organization, our board represents the diverse geographic regions and demographic makeup of today’s Montana and strives to sustain a balance among scholars, educators and cultural leaders in the humanities, civic and business leaders and the general public. We especially encourage applications from individuals who are passionate about the humanities and broadly representative of Montana’s diversity.”

Humanities Montana is the state’s humanities council and is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Humanities Montana serves communities through stories and conversation and offers experiences that nurture imagination and ideas by speaking to Montanans’ diverse history, literature, and philosophy.

Humanities Montana’s volunteer board of directors meets three times a year in person and virtually for regular committee meetings. Potential applicants are encouraged to visit humanitiesmontana. org.

Requested materials from applicants include a letter of interest, resume and two letters of recommendation.
