Pretty Iron Feather Dancers Host Mini Kahomani

The Fort Peck Indian Reservation’s Pretty Iron Feather Dancers are hosting a mini kahomani event at the Roosevelt County Fair Aug. 11. Founder Amanda Boyd told the Northern

Plains Independent that the group has been appearing before the fair committee in Culbertson since 2017. She described the planned event as a social dance.

Dancers with the company will be on hand from 3-4 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Drummers will be the Fort Peck Sioux Singers. All are welcome. This is a free event. Call 406-768-8130 for more information.
