RMHF Plans Night at the Museum, Jewel Heist Gala
The Egyptian Museum of Cairo, priceless artifacts, ancient antiquities. The unveiling of a rare, precious diamond. A room full of strangers. What could possibly go wrong? A lot!
At this year’s eighth annual Roosevelt Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s Now You See It, Now You Don’t Fundraiser, guests will witness a quintessential crime while attending a museum gala and get thrown into a heist mystery they won’t soon forget.
Orchestrated by Murder Mystery Inc. of Denver, this year’s professional entertainment will include a 90-minute immersive, whodunnit plot that will keep everyone looking over their shoulders and guessing who the jewel thief is. Here is your first clue: It might be the person sitting next to you.
Gala attendees will bribe suspects and gather information to uncover whodunnit. The evening will take place at the Dry Prairie Rural Water Authority in Culbertson on Oct. 8, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. One lucky winner will take home the Jewel of the Nile diamond necklace.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win up to 10 grand prizes in the Pharaoh’s Gold drawings. Some of the prizes include $500 cash, season passes to the Fort Peck Theater and the Alberta Baire Theater, Dar’s Designs quilt, gift cards, a horse statue and more. Separately, attendees can also win a whiskey and wine bar or dozens of themed baskets donated by community members. A live art auction and silent auction will also take place.
The foundation will announce its Philanthropist of the Year with a special presentation.
Dinner will include a steak and lasagna buffet and is once again sponsored by Forefront Healthcare Services. While we encourage wearing your best evening wear and suits to this formal diamond unveiling, casual attire is perfectly acceptable, too.
The foundation is raising money to support Roosevelt Medical Center’s need for a sprinkler system. This project will conserve water, money and time, while also providing the patients with a green space to enjoy. The system will free-up time in the warmer months that can be better spent on other projects that directly benefit patients. One of those projects is Horticulture Therapy, a proven way of improving the quality of life of dementia and Alzheimer’s patients by reducing agitation and stabilizing emotions. All proceeds stay locally within our community with every penny directly benefiting the patients at RMC. Since it began in 2015, it has enabled the lab to purchase needed diagnostic equipment, the installation of new facility flooring throughout the building, the installation of a patient’s call light system and the start of a kitchen renovation project that will enhance mealtimes for patients.
Tickets will be available Aug. 1 and can be purchased at Roosevelt Medical Center, Wild West Diner Opportunity Bank in Culbertson and Froid or from board members Ashlee Anderson, Ian Walker, Amber Fox, Sharon Schmitz, Jason LaQua, Courtney Forbregd, Larry Birch and Chris Newbill.
Seating will be limited and those planning to attend are highly encouraged to purchase tickets early.
