Perez Sentenced For Drug Possession

Christian Alexander Perez was sentenced for possession of dangerous drugs during a district court hearing on Tuesday, June 28.

Based on a plea agreement, Perez was sentenced to five years, with two years suspended with the Department of Corrections. He was fined $1,000. The sentence is to run concurrently with two other cases.

District Judge David Cybulski said that considering Perez’s history, the plea agreement seems like a “good deal” for the defendant. The judge added that he has no reason to reject the plea agreement.

During the hearing, Perez admitted to be in possession of meth in Roosevelt County on Jan. 30, 2022.

Last September, Perez was sentenced for possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to distribute and being in the possession of dangerous drugs.
