99th Annual Stampede Promises Action-Packed Weekend

Residents and visitors can expect a jam-packed schedule for the 99th Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede July 7-9.

The Wild Horse Stampede RAM Rodeo at Marvin Brookman Stadium is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on the nights of July 7, July 8 and July 9. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. each night and calcuttas are held at the Wild Horse Saloon. Stock contractor is the Brookman Rodeo Company.

Tough Enough To Wear Pink is highlighted on Thursday, July 7. The Tough Enough To Wear Pink golf tournament begins at 10 a.m. at the Airport Golf Course. You can pre-register by calling 406-653-2161.

It’s also Tough Enough To Wear Pink night at the rodeo.

Other highlights for Thursday include the WPRA barrel race and breakaway roping slack at 8 a.m..

The “Wagons & Wildflowers” parade begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The PRCA timed event slack begins at 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.

An all-class reunion takes place starting at 2 p.m. at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center.

A street dance, featuring Jared Stewart, begins at 9 p.m. on Friday in Wolf Point’s Main Street area.

The Wolf Point Museum holds its annual pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9.

Art in the Park is conducted at Sherman Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After the parade at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, a stick horse rodeo by Miss Rodeo Montana is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Faith Home.

The Catholic Hamburger Stand is open throughout Stampede weekend. The stand is open Thursday, July 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. On Friday and Saturday, July 8-9, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. and on Sunday, July 10, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Stampede carnival, conducted by the North Star Carnival Company, opens at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Outback 4D barrel race begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
