According to Wolf Point Pound Puppies organizers, it was another big weekend of spaying and neutering for the volunteer-based group.

The group’s latest two-day clinic saw 44 dogs and 39 cats spayed and/or neutered and vaccinated. The group also takes care of some minor medical issues, like ear mites and small wounds, at these clinics if needed.

Tina Betshismedicine told the Northern Plains Independent that the group is currently applying for a Doris Day Animal Foundation grant to fund veterinary care, including but not limited to spaying and neutering.

DDAF funds nonprofit 501c3 organizations that need assistance in their work of caring for and protecting animals.

Pound Puppies offers low cost clinics for area pet owners. If you cannot afford the fee, the group will work to find a sponsor for you. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
