Allen Martin

He was an active member of the American Quarter Horse Association throughout his life.

Allen married Laura Kaschube in May 1979 resulting in one daughter, Shawn Sanders. They later divorced. Shawn gifted Allen with his only grandchild, Terra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Joseph Martin and Loretta Cathreen Martin.

Allen is survived by his sister, Joanne C. Martin; two brothers, Larry J. and Randy G. Martin; his daughter, Shawn Sanders (Keith Vink); granddaughter, Terra Sanders; six nieces; two nephews and their children.

There will be a celebration of life in the fall.

Allen Arthur Martin went to ride in lush pastures on Copper and Rusty Y Bar on April 15, 2022.

Allen was born on July 21, 1951, in Wolf Point, Mont., to Eugene Joseph Martin and Loretta Cathreen (Stidolph) Martin.

Allen lived life marching to the thunderous beat of horse's hooves. His life was lived riding, training and breeding horses. Alongside his father, Allen raised some of the finest Quarter Horses ever seen in northeast Montana.

During school, he enjoyed basketball, ping pong and wrestling. He was active in 4H, winning awards for his horsemanship.

As a team roper, he won many buckles and awards. (Paid Obituary)
