Red Riding Hood Performances To Be April 2

Rehearsals are underway for Red Riding Hood in Culbertson at press time, March 29. The Missoula Children’s Theatre performance is set for April 2 at the Culbertson Elementary gym.

“Auditions were done last night and rehearsals start today,” Tessa Rumsey told the Community News via email.

A press release invites area residents to, “join Red Riding Hood and her friends on a forest adventure when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and over 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of this classic tale.”

The local cast features Bella Petersen as Red Riding Hood, Stella Fox, Kaylee Kohl and Harper Anderson as her three Girl Friends.

Brailey Bigler is Little Loveable Wolf while Emma Henry, Jaclynne Taberna, Beau Becker, Hadley Miller and Aubry Salvevold are featured as the Hood Family.

Also featured are The Three Little Pigs played by Leddy Anderson, Paisley Featherston and Aubry Lee, Gerald Happ as The Woodsman, Felix Becker as The Locksmith, Jonas York as Ranger Rooney and Nash Peterson as The Boy Who Cries Wolf.

To complete the ensemble, Lauren Rumsey, Regan Chilson, Hunter Lee, Noah Fox, Harper Struna and Mallory Harling will appear as the Forest Shadows. Boone VandenBos, Luella Peterson, Baylour Hagadone and Jonathan Taberna will appear as the Wolfgang and Hattie Featherston, Franiah Bighorn, Norma Peterson, Gavin Fox, Gabby Lee, Wiley VandenBos, Rhett Berwick, Ava Henry, Emma Sorenson and Oliver Becker will appear as the rascally Raccoons.

Red Riding Hood will be presented at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Culbertson elementary gym. Tickets are available at the door.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Culbertson is presented locally by the Culbertson School with support from the Washington Foundation Grant, Hi-Line Inn and Suites, Native Energy, NEMONT, the Wild West Diner and many local community members.
