Nygard Earns High Marks In Wolf Point

Tia Nygard excels in the classroom through hard work at Wolf Point High School.

Nygard ranks sixth for the senior class with a grade point average in the 3.9-4.0 range.

After attending school in Culbertson through the first grade, Nygard went to Frontier School for two years and then started attending classes in Wolf Point.

“I like all my friends and the good people here,” Nygard said of Wolf Point.

Her favorite class is government taught by Douglas Evans.

“Mr. Evans is a good teacher,” Nygard said. She adds that she enjoys the debates during the class.

Her favorite teacher is Leslie Larson.

“She’s super sweet and is there when you need her,” Nygard said. “And she makes me laugh.”

Nygard, who used to play volleyball and basketball, isn’t involved in any school activities at this time. She keeps busy working as a custodian at the school after classes.

“I have good co-workers and a good boss,” she said.

After high school, she plans to study in Utah and become a master esthetician. Depending on how much she enjoys Utah, she might or might not come back to Wolf Point for her career.

“I’ve always been into the makeup world,” Nygard said.
