Area Temps Fall, Wind Chills Forecast

According to the National Weather Service Glasgow, arctic temps have settled in across Northeast Montana at press time Tuesday morning, with wind chill danger expected to be a factor at times through Thursday morning. “Wind chills of 15 to 40 below are expected at times,” said a Feb. 1 social media post. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for north Phillips, Valley, Daniels, Sheridan, Roosevelt, McCone, Richland, Prairie and Wibaux counties. Temperatures are expected to recover later this week and into the weekend.

To find protection from the dangers of frostbite and hypothermia, be sure to wear warm layers, include hats and gloves, check on those vulnerable in the cold weather, as well as pets and livestock. If traveling, prepare a winter safety kit. Visit weather.gov/ ggw.
