County Reports 141 Active COVID Cases

Roosevelt County has 141 active cases as of Tuesday, Jan. 25. There have been 69 COVID-related deaths in the county. The highest number of total active cases during the week was 155 on Saturday, Jan. 22.

County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 16 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only. For questions or to schedule an appointment, call 406-653-6223.

Adult vaccination clinics are scheduled from 3-6 p.m. on Jan. 27 in Culbertson, on Feb. 3 in Wolf Point, on Feb. 17 in Wolf Point and on Feb. 24 in Culbertson.

There will be a vaccination clinic for children, ages 5-11, from 1-4 p.m. on Feb. 4 in Wolf Point.

RCHD Home Testing

Home testing kits will be distributed, one per household. Home testing is becoming the norm. COVID-19 is a reportable disease by law in Montana. If you get a positive result on a home test, isolate away from community and family members, then report to your health department.

Home testing kits will be handed out Jan. 31 from 1-4 p.m. at the RCHD in Wolf Point; Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Poplar Catholic Church; Feb. 1 from 1-4 p.m. at the Brockton HPDP School Clinic; Feb. 2 from 1-4 p.m. on at the Culbertson County Complex Office; Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bainville Fire Hall; and Feb. 3 from 1-4 p.m. at the Froid Community Hall.

Area Statistics

Daniels County had six active cases as of Tuesday, Jan. 25. The county has 333 recovered cases and 348 cumulative cases. Nine deaths have occurred due to COVID-19 and/or complications.

Valley County reports 57 active cases as of Monday, Jan. 24. The county has 1,414 recovered cases and 1,503 cumulative cases. There have been 32 COVID-related deaths.

In McCone County, there are 13 active cases as of Monday, Jan. 24. There have been nine COVID-related deaths in the county. There have been 326 recovered cases and 348 cumulative cases.

Phillips County had 44 active cases as of Wednesday, Jan. 19. There have been 880 recovered cases and 27 COVID-related deaths.

For Richland County, there were 17 active cases and 2,178 recovered cases as of Monday, Jan. 24. Total COVID-related deaths are 30. There have been 2,225 total cases.

Sheridan County had 18 active cases as of Monday, Jan. 24. There have been 590 recovered cases and 10 COVID-related deaths.

Statewide

According to Montana health officials, the state’s total number of known cases now stands at 227,094 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 2,460,762 tests conducted.

Around the state, there are 14,602 active cases. There are 292 active hospitalizations. By Monday, Jan. 24, a total of 2,985 deaths have been reported statewide. A total of 209,507 people have recovered. A total of 10,811 have been hospitalized.

Vaccine Doses

As of Monday, Jan. 24, 1,370,088 total doses have been administered in Montana. There are 546,828 or 54 percent fully immunized Montanans.

In Roosevelt County, 11,149 total doses have been administered as of Monday, Jan. 24. There are 4,660 fully immunized for 47 percent of the county’s 9,918 eligible for vaccination.

In Valley County, 7,576 total doses have been administered. There are 3,135 fully immunized for 45 percent of the county’s 6,931 eligible for vaccination.

In Daniels County, 1,689 total doses have been administered. There are 686 fully immunized for 44 percent of the county’s 1,559 eligible for vaccination.

In McCone County, 1,083 total doses have been administered. There are 422fully immunized for 27 percent of the county’s 1,562 eligible for vaccination.

In Richland County, 9,459 total doses have been administered. There are 4,100 fully immunized for 40 percent of the county’s 10,310 eligible for vaccination.

In Phillips County, 4,147 total doses have been administered. There are 1,741 fully immunized for 47 percent of the county’s 3,675 eligible for vaccination.

In Sheridan County, 4,547 total doses have been administered. There are 1,816 fully immunized for 59 percent of the county’s 3,075 eligible for vaccination.
