Fort Peck Summer Theatre Hosts Virtual Auditions

According to Fort Peck Fine Arts Council executive director Jennifer Fewer, there will be some changes to the audition process for upcoming shows, including new protocols for remote auditions.

“Many wonderful opportunities are available throughout the summer, as FPST celebrates our 53rd season,” said Fewer. “Half of the summer will operate as a repertory theatre again, meaning at times four shows will be open and performing on a rotating schedule each weekend. The final two shows will be in our traditional stock format.”

FPST artistic director Andy Meyers will be accepting virtual auditions for local cast members. Meyers said he anticipates opportunities for local cast involvement in the following productions: The Complete History of America + Patriot Musical Revue (rehearsals begin May 24), The Bridges of Madison County

(rehearsals begin May 31),

Seussical (rehearsals begin July 9) and Wait Until Dark (rehearsals begin Aug. 2).

To submit an audition, visit fortpecktheatre.org to download and fill out of the audition form including all conflicts. Said Fewer, “Please remember to be thorough and forthcoming with potential conflicts. They unfortunately can become a major factor during difficult casting decisions and it is not fair or acceptable to intentionally omit any on your audition sheet, with hopes to add later.”

Additionally, said Fewer, hopefuls should include a current and recognizable photo and complete video of posted material. Cell phone videos are acceptable. See the group’s website for detailed information about auditions.

All local auditions must be submitted virtually to Meyers at FPSTAndy@hotmail. com. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 11.
