Floyd Martell Jr.

Floyd Martell Jr., 62, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Poplar Hospital. A wake will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center with interment at the Poplar City Cemetery under the direction of Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel.

Cowboy Hall of Fame Postpones Induction Ceremony

The Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center has postponed its 2020 Inductee Recognition Ceremony and Western Heritage Gathering, normally held in early February each year, to Saturday, Aug. 14. “Due to local restrictions and an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pushing back our annual celebration,” said MCHF executive director Christy Stensland.
