Fire Destroys Wolf Point House


An unoccupied house on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue South was destroyed by fire Sunday, Jan. 31. The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded and was able to contain the fire to just the one structure, despite the nearness of trees on the south side of the home. According to WPVFD Chief Clint Bushman, the origin of the fire is suspicious. (Photo by Darla Downs)

Donation Gives New School Program Great Start


A new program in the Wolf Point School District will enjoy a great start thanks to the Montana Masonic Foundation. On Thursday, Jan. 28, Masonic representatives Jeff Harada and Wade Riden presented a $1,700 check to Northside Elementary School Principal Georgie Gourneau along with teachers Andrew Tumonong and Ronnell Tumonong. Funds will help begin the WE STEP UP program that stands for Wolves
