Poplar Fire Chief Dave Mathison told the Northern Plains Independent that budgetary needs are pressing as fire season begins in Northeast Montana. The department is seeking funds to pay for a filling station to service self contained breathing apparatus used by the department. Three players from the state champion Froid/Lake Red Hawks have been selected for the Treasure State All-Star Six-man football game. The contest is scheduled for June 5 starting at 7 p.m. in Highwood. Selected for the Red Hawks were Issac Johnson, Colt Miller and Walker Ator. Johnson and Miller were each All-State selections for the Red Hawks. Ator was a valuable lineman for the state
