Froid/Lake Squad Wins Tourney Game


The Froid/Medicine Lake girls’ softball team earned one win during the major softball tournament held in Plentywood. After falling against Wolf Point A in the opening round, Froid/Lake bounced back with a victory over Wolf Point B in the next round. Scobey outscored Froid/Lake, 22-21, in loser-out action. In the minor league tournament, Froid/Lake lost to Scobey A in the opening round.

Redbyrd Designs Receives Tribal Tourism Grant


The Montana Department of Commerce has named recipients of $86,500 in funding to support the growth of 14 Native American-owned small businesses through the Tribal Tourism Digital Business Development Grant. Redbyrd Designs of Glasgow was the recipient from the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes. Redbyrd owner Byrdie Larsen describes the company as an online home-based small business.
