A jury found in favor of a group of eastern Montana farmers during a trial held in Wolf Point last week. Six hemp-related businesses or officers were found guilty of several charges by the jury. Roosevelt County commissioners approved a request for a detour on County Road 2039 during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 6. The detour, requested by MK Weeden Construction, will consist of eight miles. Work will be conducted this fall and next spring. Commissioners have the right to inspect the project when completed. Commissioners also approved a gravel contract from MK Weeden Construction.

The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on a proposal to install intersection improvements at the intersection of Highway 201 and County Road 350 about 5 miles west of Fairview. The Wild Horse Stampede RAM Rodeo at Marvin Brookman Stadium is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on the nights of July 8, July 9 and July 10.
