The 2021 MB Church Christmas program, Really, Really, Really Good News,

was presented Sunday night, Dec. 19, to a large crowd. It began with the preschool class asking what really good news would sound like. In answer, the junior department in full costume answered questions of those who had never heard the account of Christ coming to earth. A junior choir directed by Mindy Olfert sang The Good News, Go Tell the Story, Mighty King with three soloists, We Three Kings (complete with camels) and ended with a rambunctious rendition of Joy to the World.

The program was directed by Lisa Neufeld and Debbie Lenihan.

Several families are hosting foreign exchange students over the Christmas break, which means so much to their families back home.

Our community received news of the death of Pastor Arlie Rauch Wednesday, Dec. 16, who grew up in Lustre and Wolf Point.

The EMB will host a Carols and Cookies evening Thursday, Dec. 23, at 7 p.m. Rod Wall of Sidney will be speaking Dec. 26 at 11 a.m. He is a grandson of the late Albert and Ethel Wall.

The CEBU Children’s Shelter sustained considerable damage in Typhoon Odette, known internationally as Rai, that slammed into the city of Cebu around midnight of our Dec. 16. The category 5 super typhoon hit the islands of Leyte, Bohol and Cebu, leaving massive destruction. Roberto and Heather Atienza were able to message her parents in Lustre by late afternoon, Dec. 16, that they were OK, though they had no power or water or internet. He has gotten word to us their water was restored our Sunday evening and they are able to share water with whoever comes. Did you know that years ago, a Montana power company from northeast Montana helped get electricity installed in the Philippines?
