Poplar Resumes On-campus Learning Nov. 29

During a special school board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 18, the Poplar School Board agreed to a plan for moving from remote status back to in-person education.

The plan, according to a letter from superintendent Dan Schmidt, notes that all students and staff will return to on-campus learning on Monday, Nov. 29.

Trustees approved that high school sports and activities could begin practices or competition on Friday, Nov. 19. The official first day of practice for winter sports was Thursday, Nov. 18.

Students were allowed in the school buildings starting on Nov. 19, but only at appointed times as requested by teachers.

Masks must be worn on all buses.

Middle school wrestling resumed on Monday, Nov. 22.

There will be a special school board meeting starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Central School.
