Opportunity Bank Donates To Playground Fund
Opportunity Bank of Montana has donated $10,000 to the city of Wolf Point toward replacement of playground equipment at Borge Park in Wolf Point.
The announcement was made by Duane Kurokawa, Opportunity Bank market president, at the Thursday, Nov. 4, meeting of the Wolf Point Lions Club. The Lions Club is spearheading fund-raising efforts to meet the estimated project cost of $60,000.
The donation by Opportunity Bank of Montana is part of the observance of the bank’s 100th year anniversary. In a celebration being called The Big 100, Opportunity Bank will tell 100 stories, share 100 lessons and make 100 gifts.
“We appreciate the opportunity to support the Lion’s Club’s efforts and the City of Wolf Point on this project,” Kurokawa said. “We see this as a perfect fit to be part of Opportunity Bank’s 100 Gifts during our 100th anniversary. It is a gift to the community to be enjoyed for years to come.”
The bank’s total donation included a contribution from the Western Bank of Wolf Point endowment, which originated prior to coming into the Opportunity Bank family in 2019.
