Cowgirls Fall Short To Strong Squads


The Culbertson Cowgirls put up a good fight before falling to conference leader Plentywood, 23-25, 15-25, 8-25, on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Leaders for Culbertson included Makena Hauge with eight kills, three blocks and 11 digs. Destiny Thompson finished with four kills, one ace and three digs.
Koree Marchwick accounted for three kills, 12 assists and two digs.
Kenadee Kempton scored three kills, four assists and five digs.
Perla Burciaga had one ace and three digs. Alicyn Ator finished with one ace and two digs.
Culbertson lost a tough match against North Country on Saturday, Oct. 16.
The Cowgirls fell by an 1125, 12-25, 17-25, final.
Hauge finished with nine kills, one ace, two blocks and eight digs.
Thompson accounted for two aces, two kills, two blocks and 13 digs.
Marchwick had nine assists and seven digs. Burciaga added two kills and eight digs. Kempton finished with two kills, four assists and three digs. Ator had seven digs.
