Elks Host 106th Firemen’s Ball Elks Host 106th Firemen’s Ball

The 106th annual firemen’s ball is in the books in Wolf Point. The Wolf Point Volunteer Ball Association hosted the annual event at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center Oct. 9. Doors opened at 5 p.m.

A supper of flat iron steak and shrimp was served beginning at 7 p.m. Music was provided by DJ Pippin, who offered dancing and karaoke until late in the evening.

Attendees mingled in semi formal dress and uniforms.

Family members of current and former firefighters were invited to attend the event for free.

Chief Clint Bushman said the department singled out Mayor Chris Dschaak as the recipient of a star quilt. “We gave a star quilt to Dschaak in memory of his mom, Sharon,” said Bushman. “She was like a mother to all of us and was a major supporter of all we do.”

Guests were offered a chance to win significant cash prizes and a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., Tammy Reinhart won the grand prize of a trip or $2,500. Angie Turcotte won $1,000 and third place was won by Haley Menge. Vicki Dahl won the pit boss smoker fundraiser.
