Help Pick A Theme For 2022 County Fair

The Roosevelt County Fair board met at the end of September. During the meeting, the board discussed the topic of the 2022 fair theme, and decided to create a contest for local clubs, organizations, classes, etc.

The board is asking for theme ideas to be emailed to the fair office at rooseveltcofair@ gmail.com by Oct. 25.

Board members will soon be attending the regional and national conventions to attend workshops on topics like public safety and emergency planning, as well as booking and buying entertainment.

“Planning of the fair does not happen overnight. It takes a full year to budget and book entertainment, design awards, and all of the behind the scenes work it takes to create a fair.” Angela Miller, fair manager, said.

The fair board meetings are typically held on the fourth Monday of the month, and the public is invited to attend all meetings for input on creating the fair. The fair will take place Aug. 9-12, 2022.
