With three months now in Wolf Point, Pastor Arch Woodstock of the Community Bible Church is feeling at home.

“We like it. We really enjoy it,” he said. “Hopefully, it will be a good fit for us for a long time.”

He has been in the ministry since 1974, and has served churches in 11 different states. For the past few years, the pastor has worked with an agency that sends pastors on a part-time basis to churches who are in need of assistance.

He is glad to be serving the congregation of Community Bible Church, 436 Indian St., as a full-time pastor.

“I’m here to help whoever we can help,” Woodstock said. “That’s what Jesus did.”

In the past, Woodstock has worked at food banks, been a national director for the Right to Life and has supported veterans’ projects.

He and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 53 years. They have three children, 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

For 20 years, they worked in residential care for children. Sandy has led children’s ministries in many churches.

His hobbies include golfing and they like walking their black lab together. He is working on his doctorate in theology.

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship service is at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. At the end of November, the plan is to conduct Sunday night Bible studies.

Community Bible Church is an independent church and affiliated with the Fundamental Evangelical Bible

Churches.
