Althea Dinese Deserly, 47, of Wolf Point died Sept. 14, 2021, at Scobey Hospital.

She was born Nov. 16, 1973, to Mary Redstone and Abraham Chopper Sr. in Wolf Point. She attended school at Flandreau Indian School and received her G.E.D. in Wolf Point.

She was always a strong woman and was brave through the very end. She never let the cancer control her life. She faced it without fear. She never stopped doing what made her happy.

She loved her family and friends. She always enjoyed being able to sit with everyone and laugh, often talking about the future and reliving memories. Her face would light up when she would do her scratch tickets and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Robert Deserly; children, Danielle Casterline, Farrah Schindler (Casterline), Cody Casterline, Abrianne Deserly, Roberta Deserly, Mary Deserly, Chelsea Deserly, Tyson Deserly, Blessing Deserly and Jacob Deserly; sisters, Leanne Redstone, Winter Jackson, Jolene Chopper and Wendy Chopper; brothers, Frank Chopper, Abraham Chopper Jr. and Luke Jackson; and many grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Burial was at King Memorial Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
