Inmates Escape From Fort Peck Detention Center

Law enforcement officers are still on the lookout for individuals who escaped from the Fort Peck Adult Detention Center.

On June 20, officers spotted Jackson in a black Volkswagon leaving from Cenex West and heading toward Valley County. Brandon Michael Jackson, one of the four escapees, was able to avoid capture when he left the vehicle and took off on foot near Wolf Creek northwest of Wolf Point.

According to information from the Roosevelt County’s Sheriff Office, the four individuals had escaped from the Fort Peck Adult Detention Center May 22. The other three individuals were identified as Sioux Summer Necklace, Callen James Lonebear and Evan Allen Beston.

According to the May report, Roosevelt County Deputy Michael Ellerton arrived on the scene with his K-9 partner, Hati. He was told at that time that two inmates had gotten outside and scaled the southwest corner fence to escape.

K-9 Haiti picked up a track and began following it in a south by southwest direction toward Poplar. They were unable to locate the escapees at that time.

None of the four inmates listed were incarcerated in the Fort Peck Detention Center as of Monday, June 28.
