Bulls Fall Against Cardinals, Dodgers
The Post #49 Bulls dropped home baseball games against strong Billings Cardinals and Laurel American Legion squads during the weekend.
The Bulls lost the first game against the Cardinals by a 6-1 final.
Zander Dean doubled and scored to put the Bulls up 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
Billings scored single runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Issac Johnson had three hits to lead the Bulls. Having two hits each were Dean and Walker Ator.
Ator pitched the first six innings for the Bulls. He struck-out five batters.
Billings won the second game with a 21-7 final. The Cardinals scored 10 of their runs in the first inning and six in the third inning.
Leading the Bulls with two hits each were Braeden Romo, Parker Sinks, Ator and Johnson. Crossing the plate twice were Sinks and Dean. Johnson drove in two runs.
Romo and Dylan Tabbert pitched for the Bulls.
Against Laurel on Sunday, June 20, the Bulls dropped the first game by a 19-0 final.
Having the Bulls’ two hits were Dean and Riley Beery.
Johnson and Beery pitched for the Bulls.
Laurel won the second game by an 8-2 final. The Dodgers scored two runs in the first, three in the second, one in the third and two in the fifth.
The Bulls’ runs came in the second and third innings.
Sinks accounted for two of the Bulls’ five hits. Scoring for the Bulls were Sinks and Payton Hauge.
The Bulls will compete at a tournament in Miles City starting Thursday, June 24. They will host the Glendive Blue Devils on Tuesday, June 29.
